Tbilisi Public Art Fund is pleased  to present one of the 2026 winning projects of the Tbilisi Public Art Fund: Gvantsa Jishkariani "Subterranean Starfall".

The work is a mosaic panorama created for the central circular space of the Vake Park underground passage. The project draws on the historical tradition of mosaic as public art, but offers a contemporary interpretation of it - an emotional and memorable experience - a kind of modern urban fairy tale.

Gvantsa Jishkariani is a multimedia artist and curator. She graduated from the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, Faculty of Architecture, and the Master’s Program in Creative Mediation at CCA-Tbilisi. Her practice is inspired by Georgian cultural heritage, public art, and the history of traditional crafts. Her works explore collective experiences and personal narratives, often through the language of humor and fantasy.
