As part of the educational program of the Tbilisi Public Art Fund, practical workshops in documentary filmmaking will be held in public schools.
The project aims to help students develop visual thinking. During the workshop, young people will learn the art of observing the environment and the methods by which everyday news is transformed into documentary footage. Participants will become familiar with the specifics of the work of a cinematographer and director: frame composition, light, and storytelling techniques.
The workshops will allow students to see their neighborhood from a new perspective, discover interesting characters, and create short visual stories themselves.
The workshop will be led by cinematographer and photographer Sandro Khutsishvili, who will share his experience with the participants and help them creatively depict reality.
Workshop duration: 1 hour or 1:30
Age of participants: The workshop is designed for adolescents aged 13 to 18.
Number of participants: The workshop is designed for a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 students.
