In May, organized by the Tbilisi Public Art Fund, students from Abkhazia School No. 2, Vova Vekua School No. 3, Lemshvenyera, and other public schools visited the Pocket Studio.
Led by Anna Chubinidze, the Pocket Studio team specializes in creating puppet animation films. In this unique art form, every detail—from characters to sets and props—is handcrafted by artists, then animated frame by frame in front of a camera.
During their visit, the students watched films produced by Pocket Studio, explored the intricately made puppets and sets, and discovered the fascinating process behind puppet animation—from the initial concept to the final shoot.
To conclude the day, the children created their own characters and produced short stop-motion animations. This hands-on experience not only nurtured their creativity and fine motor skills, but also sparked a deeper interest in visual arts and creative professions.
We are confident that this inspiring activity will encourage many of them to take their first steps into the world of animation.
